SUPERFERRY 14

PCGA came in full force with its floating assets and volunteers in the search and rescue of the Superferry 14 with 899 passengers and crew, that caught fire in February 2004. Doctors, scuba divers abd communication group of the PCGA immediately responded to help in the rescue operations

Other operations by the PCGA:

Guimaras oil spill - CGAD Western Visayas composed of squadrons in Guimaras, Boracay, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Negros Occidental worked together with the PCG and the provincial Government in the control of the oil spill as well as its prevention.

The PCGA adopted 1,000.000 seedlings from the Trees for life Program of the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) and the GREEN ARMY
